Wow, nice build thread... Those headlights are sick! Great looking sedan my friend.

 

Just posting a minor update for now.

I put my seats in finally.


I am also starting to horde some second hand parts in preparation of 'the build':

Aeromotive 340lph Fuel Pump
Z1 Urethane Motor Mounts


CSF Triple Pass Radiator ordered on Black Friday and got it yesterday (the following Monday)!


Also got these SPL Adjustable Front Endlinks which aren't part of 'the build' but still part of the build..


I should have some more boxes to look at next week..

Do you mean solid poly bushings for the two engine Torque-mounts? Very interested in how that works out for you. That can be an awesome mod, as long as you're good with the NVH.

 

^ Yessir. Z guys say there is more NVH at idle but usually not enough to fail the wife test. The hope is that throttle response is better and power transfer will be increased. Plus, the motor will be out of the car so why not switch the mounts right?

 

If it's anything like what I experienced doing that with ES bushings in the Torque Mounts of a (then) six year old Maxima SE 6MT, you can put this down as a bonafide power mod. Best mod I ever did to that car, bar none.

How about the rear diff frame bushings? Doing that too?

 

Yeah the internal of the Z1 mounts use ES bushings (https://www.z1motorsports.com/g37_37...oducts_id=6580) so hopefully they will help me get to my 700rwhp target. I have the whiteline diff mount bushings on the way with the rest of my clutch parts (ZSpeed HD CSC, SS insulated clutch hose, and new OEM Master Cylinder). I think I will have to look into transmission mounts as well.. But I have so many parts inbound that I have to slow down for my wallet's sake.

 

Oh-h-h. You're not pressing in new bushings, you're buying all new mounts with bushings pre-pressed. Now I get it.

What I don't get is that this is the Transmission mount, not the Torque mounts. The tranny mount and front mount doesn't take nearly the abuse as the side-mounts do. Confused.

I'm very interested in how this goes for you, Tony. Please do a thorough review.

Got my Zspeed HD CSC, OEM master, SS insulated line, white line diff bushings, and some fluids.


Also got notification of some other brown boxes coming..
