Or maybe it's because it was black before it was white? Like MJ.

You suggesting that’s why I love MJ too? ... and all along I thought it was the dancing. You should probably nickname your car MJ, with that power I’m sure it “dances” just about as well

Looks like you've got a very nice laundry list of new parts there, Tony! Your making me very jealous! DO you plan to ship your car out to FI for the work or are you having the work done down there in Texas?

Oh, and did you get your car repainted again? Or are those pics from the original spray?

Yeah car is going to be done here in Houston by Ron Bergenholtz, he's the mastermind behind the previous block as well.

No not repainted, just pics from the original spray. If it ever does get resprayed it would still be a Lexus White combined with some of those tasty fenders your car has!

What an amazing build. It is so interesting to just read through and see the transformation after all these years. Much respect!

Haha.. Thanks, Tony! Your car would definitely benefit from the wider fenders (along with wider tires of course) especially after your new engine build is complete.

I didn't expect you to send the car out this way with all the great engine builders and tuners you guys have out your way, but figured if you were sending it out to FI then I would have take a drive up to their shop and check it out!

What is your projected horsepower gain with the rebuild and new turbos?

I am guessing you are getting bigger turbos which would equate to the engine requiring a rebuild. Did you run into some mean Corvettes and stangs out there? You're probably going to want at least 400 + hp over your previous build I bet. LOL good times dude.

Probably the fastest V36 Skyline 4 door in the states or even in Japan.

I don't have a projected gain, but the goal is to reach 1000whp. I'm guessing I'll run out of fuel pump before that, also I am expecting to have to switch to a Haltech Elite piggy back eventually. That is unless the new Uprev software in the future is able to provide support for that much power and/or pump staging. A hobbs switch is always an option for pump staging, but I just really hope Uprev introduces the Simplified Timing maps to HRs.

Yes there are tons of fast V8s in Houston. I've had some good encounters with some Mustangs, Z06s, Hellcats, CTSVs, and an ACR Viper on the beltway.

Not sure if I have the fastest V36 Sedan yet - I have to get the time slips to get that title!

Maybe later in 2018 it could happen.

How many sub 12 second v36 sedans do you see dude???? You're probably the only one. It must be infuriating having those V8's walk all over your build on the drag strip.

Bigger turbos would mean more power. Hopefully you can keep the VQ stable and safe to achieve and sustain that power. I guess that's why a rebuild is necessary.

Shoot for 1000 HP is solid dude, 1200 more like it though. No Corvette Stang or viper could touch you. Unless they go turbo too. But it's good to show them how well a V6 can keep up with their 8 cylinder numbers.

it would be great to show them what a built V6 can do

I’d say he has enough power to keep up... if he can hook up. 305’s hardly handle what he’s got tho

Yes I believe he said his sedan makes 700 hp with e85 gas, and that is more than enough horsepower for probably most cars out there, including V8's.

But some drivers out there will supercharge or turbo charge their v8 engines as well, and that's when the 700 hp will start to fall short. He would then need extra power from the turbos in order to give these FI V8's a run for their money.

He's making 700 on e85 gas, and wants to add 300 more to make it 1000 hp. That maybe enough, but it's about effectively getting that power to the road as well, tranny, tires, and maybe reworking suspension idk.

I would say weight reduction but he bought a sedan for the family function as well obviously I suppose. But wouldn't it be extremely awesome seeing his V36 smoke FI V8 engines!! Then you could say that V6 is truly earning it's keep.

Getting to 1000whp somewhat reliably is quite difficult and costly as it is. Going past that is a headache I don't plan on taking. Just trying to figure out how to even stick 1000whp is going to be tricky enough.
