No regrets with going from R2C to Takeda.

Ok, its stupid question time. My 2008 has no chrome trim anywhere around the windows. Was this an option or only something done to the later G's.....or did someone already "fix" my car before I bought it?

The previous owner may have had it blacked out the trim. Do you have a picture of it?

I hope it will all fit. They'll ship out Monday from California so probably Friday or Thursday. I haven't decided when to get them installed.

Dropped my G off about an hour ago to have the LED DRLs installed. I'm excited to pick it up tomorrow!

I picked up my G about 12 hours ago from the dealer. My first impressions about the OEM DRLs are that I love them. They're very bright. The housing that holds the LEDs has a lens that covers all three LEDs and is slighly tinted. The LEDs are always on when the headlight switch is turned in the off and auto position, the only time they're off is when the headlights/parking lights are on or when the parking brake is engaged. I do wish that I could have my parking lights on with the LEDs on, but its not a huge deal.

If everything goes to plan, I will be driving down to Tennessee next weekend (12/20) to meet up with Chris (RexHavoc) and will be getting my Takeda CAI, Stoptech slotted rotors, Hawk HPS pads, Motul brake fluid, Hotchkis sways, Whiteline endlinks, and Cusco strut bar installed at his mechanics shop. I've ordered RSR coil overs, which were on back order and were suppose to ship out Friday. I may try to talk with Chris and see if they can be done at the same time, if not probably the following week somewhere locally.

In other news I've officially paid off my student loans, and my next big mod will be a house, hopefully in the next few months!

Kirk, that's going to be a nice install, hopefully the coils will arrive in time to knock it all out in one shot.Nice choices on all the parts, the Tekada seems to be the best bang for your buck CAI and looks great. The RSRs are a rare bird around here so be sure to post up your typical detailed impressions/reviews.
This is getting fun

Oh, and congrats on cleaning up the loans, always a great feeling.

Are you going to set up a "house mod" thread too
