I ended up with that same interweb opinion... which is why I started with resonated cats.

And nothing wrong with waiting until next year. Heck, I'm the King of waiting until next year, LOL.

True. Shouldn't take too long.

Plus, exhaust sound is always a POV thing: inside the car with/without windows open, outside the car, behind the car, at idle, under load, etc. You're going to have so much fun over the next few weeks getting to the new normal.

Last night on my way home I had the windows down and I would start down shifting when going under bridges just to hear it come back to life... Its awesome because it crackles when you let off the gas.

My brother told me about a small tunnel around here that I am going to try to check out this weekend and take the GoPro to see what I can get out of it.

Thanks! I'm having a little too much fun with down shifting and short pulls... I had to fill up after using half a tank in 40 miles... I'm not driving it as aggressive today. Lol

Sounds great Kirk! Have you played with the GoPro placement? Will it sit on the trunk lid? Maybe cut down on some wind and get closer to the exhaust?

Should be interesting cruising the bourbon trail now!

Yeah. I hope to play with it some more this weekend. I'm going to try get some drive by's and place it inside a tunnel and on a street sign, in addition to different placements outside the car and a couple of interior shots.

Now that I have learned to keep my foot out of the gas I can still achieve pretty good mileage. After 60 miles I'm averaging 24.2 mpg.

No. I usually average about 22 mpg, but have gotten up to 28 mpg a couple of times.

Is it bad that I'm starting to think that my exhaust isn't loud enough? Some times I wish it was louder, other times I wish it was quieter... I'm torn...

That you're saying this with a Meisterschaft exhaust is kind of surprising, but you don't have aftermarket cats or a tune, so maybe so.

I may be moving RHFC up my mod list. Then a tune. I do wish that the Meisterschaft system for the G had the electronic valves that open and close to change the volume and tone, kind of like they have with the E90 M5.
