I'll have to check the current draw for each pump. It maybe a FP issue that's just secondary on the electrical system. Needless to say I probably won't be at time attack this Saturday (insert sad face)

Are you running dual pumps? My single DeatschWerks DW300 pump draws over 18 Amps at full flow. Mine is currently wired with 10 gauge wiring, but if your running dual pumps you might be drawing 30 - 35 Amps, so you should probably be running at least 8 gauge wire.

Yeah, I'm running twin pumps. A 255 and a 450. I'm going to run two individual runs to the relays separately (probably 10 awg as it is what I have on hand). So each relay will have it's own dedicated wiring for each pump because I found out right now I have one 10 awg that splits between the relays.

If that doesn't work I'll run two 8 awg and see.

Yeah, it sounds like you are probably exceeding the recommended current draw for a 10 AWG wire when both pumps are running. I think you are on the right track with giving each pump its own wire run. Good luck!

Haven't posted here in a while. Been lazy... Still getting the fuel system electrical good to go. Reran the two hot lines to the relays and those stay cool now. From the relay to the pumps is hot. Going to run some bigger wires to clear that up because they were pretty small (18awg or 20awg).

Been crafting my V2 front splitter as well with a canard set up on a quick release IPL bumper. Hopefully I'll have it all good to go soon.

Pretty certain I have the FP wiring squared away now. Took the following steps:

1. Reran hotlines to relays (10awg) per fuel pump (2 each)
2. Upgraded relays (bosch 30amp)
3. Upgraded wiring from relays to top hat of fuel pumps (it was 20awg or smaller, now 12 awg)

That seems to take the heat out of the system. I'll have to take it for a couple of spirited test runs to really use both pumps and see if it still heats up like crazy.

Try Status Elite. They used to make one, but not sure if they still offer it.

It seems reasonable that over-current would cause this, but if it still gets hot, or continues to blow fuses, check the DCR of the pumps themselves. There may be a short in the pump motor. I had this issue with the Bosche pump in my 335.

I'm hoping that the issue is fixed. We'll see after I take it out for a spin (probably this week/weekend). I'm learning a lot about electricity and fuel systems. Good info to know on the short with the pump motor. Thank you!

at least isolating wiring for each pump will let you know which on has the issue, if there is one.

Your coupe and JR Rocha's High End Performance built G37 coupe are my favorite modded G37's. The look, the stance, the mods, and the performance. It's all there.

By the Rocha's coupe won the SEMA award one year and was include d in GT 6 as part of the 1st place prize.

side shots!!

i think yours' is AWD while his was RWD, both twin turbo Skyline GT-R/Nissan GT-R spec powertrains, however utilizing the VQ as the base.

Thank you! I am always humbled when people enjoy my build. JR's build was pretty amazing too, what an awesome opportunity to be immortalized in the GT series! I look forward to building and racing more and more and hopefully can get to that level one day.
