This was a stressful day to get there. The drive to lower Jersey from CT can be as short as 2.5 hours. Thursday afternoon rush hour: 5 hours. Only day available for me.

I wanted to turn around and head back at the three hour mark. I got a burger at a drive up and scratched my front rim on the f#$%ing curb. Sitting in traffic for two hours. AAARRGGGhhhhhhh.......

Once there, it wasn't too crowded and I got in (5) runs: 11.90, 11.72, aborted pass (Overreving caused limp), 11.75, and 11.77.

I had guys coming down from the stands to check out the fast Infiniti. Said it was the smoothest fast car on the track. As well as the best looking.

I'm learning iMovie. This was fun:




I'm about done with the track for now. I'm driving it efficiently, and I can't see much more improvement unless I push the boost up. And with stock pistons, I am already REALLY at the edge right now. That would be costly.

It was a gratifying drive home: Made it in 2.5 hours. Karma came back around.

That's one sick car. I had no clue about the brake light thing for burnouts. Pretty nifty trick.

 

I don't understand the trick with the brake lights lol but nice runs, that thing is quick!

 

Had a blast reading the thread. Honestly the best coverage I've read on this forum, you kept everyone updated even when when you had no replies... outstanding contribution, this forum needs more guys like you. Keep up the great work, and The Shop seems like a very professional shop whos owner takes pride in doing his job.

^^ Thank you guys. I learned when you disconnect the brake light switch, the car can now hold the brake and rev up to spin the tires. (With the brake light on, the engine will not allow this for more than two seconds.) I spliced into one of the two leads into the switch and ran it to a toggle under the dash. Click/OFF = burnout and brake boost, Click/ON = normal operation. Getting those tires clean from the mandatory drive-through water box at Atco is needed.

wow, amazing car and thanks for keeping us updated, but my question is how much power was in that civic in your first run, that it managed to be faster then you?

I knew the ratty Honda would spoil my birthday party.

That car probably only made 450whp, but I am certain the car weighs 700lbs less (or more).

All motor = No turbo. Good for him.

BTW-- he redlighted. Infiniti FTW!
