Hello
I am looking to keep my car as long as possible. I need to replace my rotor/brake pads. years ago i upgraded to sports calipers with StopTech rotors with Hawk HPS 5.0 Brake Pad and enjoyed it since but now they seem to be too expensive and i need replacement.
I am now primarily a normal driver with a limited inclination for spirited driving. I need some suggestion on rotors and pads.
Any suggestion is kindly appreciated
Thanks

If you had good performance and service out of the StopTech/ Hawk setup why not stick with it?
Brakes are the one thing you do not "compromise on" least of all for price. Now if you are just wanting to try a different setup... that's another story. For the record I run Hawk HPS 5.0's on DBA drilled/ slotted rotors. When the time comes I will not hesitate to replace with same.
Just my 10¢.

Hi @ILM-NC G37S , I am just looking for a something within reasonable price, currently all stoptech drilled & slotted rotoes are very very expensive. So I am looking to get back to plain rotor and thus was looking for everyone's feedback on what they went it.
Thanks
Thanks

On the left under brand, select Centric.
Parent company of StopTech till very recently.

Thank you, I see they are decently priced. I see you also have StopTech Drilled and Slotted Rotors did you ever have to resurface them ?

My mechanic of many years told me that he has resurfaced drilled and slotted rotors with no issues. There is also a YouTube video from PowerStop showing the same.
Guess we’ll see as I trust him. If you research this topic on the web, you will loop, so be careful.
Drilled and slotted looks so much better that it would be hard to go back.
@socketz67 I agree—it’s hard to go back to simple, flat rotors. But with the car now 13 years old and over 150,000 miles, surviving harsh Northeast winters in a rust belt state, it's not exactly kind to brake components. how did your rotor resurface go and what your take now is it worth it ?
Thanks
Thanks
