G37 Coupe Rear Shocks Top-mounted bolt rusty stripped & stuck, Help

The nut in question

I've been trying different things for the past two days to get this one old nut out. It was already mildy stripped, probably by a previous owner. I have an extractor socket, 10mm, 11mm, and 12 mm. I tried and I thought it was gripping but It hadn't and just stripped the bolt down even more. I tried wd-40, pb blaster, a breaker arm, nothing was gripping. I tried a blow torch too (that's why the fender liner is out the way, to prevent flammable stuff). I tried leaving the other nut and the lower shock bolt still in for less weight/pressure on the bolt, nothing has worked. The other side had a similar problem, it took me a day but enough pressure from the socket extractor, it eventually finally gave way. This one is even more stripped than than that one.

Has anyone tried getting it from the bolt-side on top? Ive tried to look behind the trunk lining and I dont think its accessible.

If anyone has any ideas or methods please let me know. The northeast hasn't been too kind to my 6MT but I've been making due and replacing nuts and bolts with brand new clean ones and putting anti-seize on everything anytime I fix something new.

Thanks for the link. It hasn't helped much though. I realize I may be more screwed than I think. The 350Z has a way to access top-side of the bolt. the G37 Coupe does not have a way to access the top bolt as far as I know.

Does anyone know if its possible to reach the bolt-side/top-side of the rear strut? Like if I take out the C-pillar trim and rear speaker area in my Coupe will the strut bolts reveal itself? Or is it totally inaccessible? I've looked on pictures online of gutted interiors and can't see any access point. On other forums people have said the bolts are welded to the subframe so you can take them out.

At this point only extracting sockets with a long extension is your only choice.

Get ready for it fails your best bet will be for you to cut it flat, drill it and use a bolt from the inside with some lock washers behind the nut.

Good luck!
