Brake switch broken after heavy braking?

Took the G to the track this weekend (VIR), and on the freeway afterwards I noticed that the cruise control would not set. It turns on but wont set a speed.

Read that the brake switch can be the culprit, how would I check the function? Anyone know resistance specs to test between pins?
Removing the brake pedal via FSM method is impractical, you have to take the steering column out to get to the brake pedal... Smh.

No other issues or symptoms, car drives fine, loves being red-lined and the ABS, TSC work fine. No lights on the dash, or codes via ODBII

Do the brake lights in the rear illuminate when the brake pedal is stepped on?

It's a switch, resistance is infinity when open (or closed), and 0 when closed (or opened). I don't recall if its a NC or NO type switch, thus the or comment.

Jsolo is on the right track, just keep in mind there are two (2) switches on the brake pedal: one for the ICC (Integrated Cruise Control) brake switch (2 wire connector), and one for the brake/stop lamp switch (4 wire connector):

Remember, you can only check the switch (continuity) with the wiring disconnected from the switch(es).

Thanks for the tips!
the pedals is really floppy, and CC works when I lift the pedal up while driving. I'll check brake lights tonight.

I assume I broke the lock nut threads on one of the switches or input rods.
Really annoying that such an essential component was built so poorly.

Might want to check this thread out. There should be a small rubber stopper ("pad") on the switches that might have worked loose.

Sounds like you're on the right track (no pun intended) to fixing the issue.
