Cruise Control not working after hard brake

Any help on this would appreciated. I was doing some spirited driving on some backroads and a deer jumped in front of me and I had to brake, HARD. Luckily I stopped and nothing happened. A few days ago, I tried to use my cruise control (I have the tech package with the ICC) and it didn’t work. Started to do a little research and I believe the brake pedal switch may be the problem. Today I was trying some stuff out and if I held the brake pedal up (opposite from the normal usage direction) and tried to use CC and it worked? I have to keep the brake pedal up to use CC, but as soon as I move my foot away from the brake pedal, CC stops working. Seems like something needs adjusting or replacing. Anyone know what to do? Thanks!

No one? I was looking under the pedals again today and saw that the brake pedal wasn’t making enough contact with a little switch it looks like. The pedal stopper is still there so that isn’t a problem.

When you slammed "HARD" on the brake pedal, more than likely the ASCD (cruise control) switch was knocked out of whack. According to the FSM, there should be less than 1mm between the rubber pad and the threaded portion of the switch body (C1 distance/blue arrow):

It is just a matter of unlocking the switch, adjust the position according to spec, and lock it back down. Just make sure you do not "over adjust" the switch to where it is pressing the brake pedal down.
