Traction control light on

Hello everyone. I recently lowered my car and had an alignment done afterwards. Tonight while driving, I accelerated, not unusual and my back right tire slipped and I swerved left. Luckily no one beside me. It's got me nervous to drive my car in my normal fashion. Has anyone experienced anything similar after dropping their car? Any I fo would be helpful. Thanks

My TC light came on recently but that was due to low brake fluid level as my pads were almost gone. It wouldn't illuminate after restart unless I accelerated kind of hard and sloshed the brake fluid whereupon I got that baleful glow again.

Check your brake fluid level.

What were your alignment specs? If you lowered your G a fair amount, even w/ an alignment your specs may be off enough to cause stability problems if you didn't get adjustable camber arms and wider adjust-range toe bolts.

Also if you dropped on springs and didn't give them time to settle, your alignment may have changed since your initial set.

I'll be sure to check today once I get home from work. I gave the G 2 days to settle before the alignment. I used the SPC camber kit for front and rear. Let's see what happens today. Thanks for the feedback.

If it's a spring drop (not coilovers) they tend to take 5-7 days to completely settle in, sometimes it can be dramatic. It's possible that they could have dropped more causing your alignment to be off.

Also, if this was an isolated incident it may have been a slick spot in the road or some gravel perhaps. How many miles on your current tires and what tires are you running?

Thanks for the insight. Tires still have plenty of life and perhaps it was a one off. There is a shop near my home that works on Z platforms that I can visit. Costly to go there but comes highly recommended. Drove fine this morning, something to keep an eye on over the next several days. I do appreciate the response. Thanks again
