Fist Post, hi, Akibono questions
i have been lurking around for about a year, but never registered. Last year we picked up a '10 G37xS Anniversery. Paid a bit more than we wanted, but couldn't resist that red interior!! Since then minimal mods have been done, as it's my wife's daily driver and kiddo hauler. So far the only performance enhancing mod was good rubber and a 370z Nismo rear swaybar that perfectly balanced the x's chassis... no more obsurd understeer! Have a vq35hr plenum sitting in the garage awaiting a spare stock lower intake for me to PnP/clean up the castings.
Anyway. We have been dealing with "warped" rotors on the car since my spirited drive home with the car.
I started researching brakes and landed in the Akibono kit. Now I was keeping a close watch on the fairly stagnant pricing on eBay, and settled on a set of Nissan badges brakes. Then yesterday I found an ad with no pictures on Craigslist for a dude parting out a 2010 G37S. Figured, what the hell and gave him a text. 6hr later I drive away from a gas-station meeting with a full set of good condition loaded calipers, rotors, dust shields, lines, and two metal brackets.... for $580. :-).
Pads are OEM as are the rotors, both with excellent life left in them. Going to rock them till I feel an upgrade is wanted or needed.
As mentioned, I got the lines as well, and here in lies my question.
I read that m10x1.0x17mm are required to fit the stock xS lines to the new calipers, but is that required if I have the entire S line set from the caliper, hard line, block, rubber line, to the compression fitting at the fender well?
i am trying to ascertain if the new banjo bolt is needed because the length of my stock one is too long, and not everyone. Gets the full line kit, or are the flare fittings different between the standard and akibono cars.
anyway, hi again.

B) somehow auto corrected, and didn't care enough to proof.. see "A)"
C) "warped rotors" is a colloquial term for a prominent pulsation/vibration, while under braking, thus my use of quotes.
D) sure am feeling welcome!
