Bc coilovers max height safely

Hello all. Im trying to raise the rear of my bc coilovers via the spring as ive been advised.
However im concerned because im nearly out of threads and am wondering how safe is the max height ie no more threads showing on the inner diameter of the spring?

On my stance coilovers there was a minimum amount needed to be left in the lower bracket in order to be safe.
I bought the bc used so no instructions to find that info.

I hope this makes sense.

You want to have the full spring diameter to be completely in the upper mount, so you CAN have no threads showing but should NOT be any less than that, so if the spring is a 1/2" diameter (and sitting flat for 360 degrees) there has to be a a 1/2" of thread below the lock collar.
Also preload becomes even more critical when you're really maxing out your height as it's the only thing keeping those springs secured when the suspension unloads. Be sure you have the preload set per BC specs, should be at least 8mm IIRC.

Perfect. Exactly what i needed.
So to clerify preload.
I set the height while the lower bolt of shock is un bolted.
Then jack up the spring bucket 8mm.
Then adjust shock as needed to get bolt back in.

Correct?

Yeah, just have the car up w/ that shock free, then just lower the bucket until there is zero load on the spring collar, then load the spring to the correct mm preload height. But confirm that it is indeed 8mm, should be on the BC web page somewhere, or give them a call.
