Got My Wheels Re-Powdercoated
Got My Wheels Re-Powdercoated
So I originally purchased my wheels powdercoated in Matte Candy Red. Unfortunately, the first winter I had them, I didn't have a set of winter tires/wheels so I left them on the car and the salt messed up the color a lot. It started getting a lot lighter. Then I curbed the right front wheel parallel parking at night. And my biggest frustration was the fact that I had no way of protecting the finish because they were matte. I used a matte sealant on them a few times but it seemed to not last all that long.
So I recently decided to get them powdercoated in gloss candy red. I think they came out amazing and I'm much happier with them now. When I got them back, I applied C-Quartz to them, so they should be protected for a long time. Anyway, here's what you came for, PICS:

I Friggin love what you did here, that color and the quality of the job really stands out.
Now your tails are too light, lol If you can do this then you'd have an out of the park home run!

And IMO this caliper paint scheme w/ your setup would be another grand slam!

Red on the wheels....looks great. I hate color on anything I am a black and dark gray guy but you pulled it off it looks fantastic against the car color....great job!

Thanks guys, really appreciate it. Tails are coming next. They're a little faded so I'm gonna tint them VERY slightly and clear coat them so they don't fade again. I was thinking of going gold with my calipers. What do you guys think? Too much color?

Thanks man!
Thanks!
Yeah, I'm worried that it'll clash against everything. I know gray w/ gold looks good and red w/ gold looks good but gray AND red w/ gold... Who knows?
I dunno, I really dig the bold candy red wheels, goes w/ the tails and is a great contrast to your silver G. I'm not one to mix many colors together, in your case I think less is more. The black calipers behind those bold wheels w/ a matching red sticker would look pretty sweet IMO, I think the gold would clutter the great thing you've got going IMO.
