Parking light on and off

Hi,

One of my parking lights (right) will not come on but when I drive the car for awhile it will turn on itself... does anyone have any idea what causes it? Faulty light bulb or electrical connection?

Thanks!

I have a 2008 G and I don't think the parking lights are LED. Is this a common problem with the G's?

The front parking lights are not LED from the factory, but he replaced the lights with aftermarket LED bulbs. The rear parking lights are LED from the factory though.

It could just be a loose bulb.

I have an 08, and one of mine it out too. I would tap the headlight and it would come back on. but I've just left on my fog lights lately so it doesn't look like a lightbulb is out.

Haven't wanted to spend the hassle of trying to get in there or getting someone to do it.

A few months ago, I noticed the driver's side parking/city light would turn on and off sporadically. Sometimes it would be on and other times it would be off, no rhyme or reason. I just replaced the bulb and have had no problem since. I just concluded it was the bulb going bad over time. My vehicle is a 2008 as well so a bulb is going to go bad over time, especially our vehicles that are 7 to 8 years old. I replaced the passenger side as well for good measure.

If you want to do it the easy way, just take off the wheel and take off the wheel well covers to access the bulbs. You can also turn the wheel without taking it off and take off the wheel well cover off partially but you'll be twisting and prying the cover. Good luck!
