Friction/Rubbing in Steering

When I pull out of my driveway in the mornings, my steering is silent and feels normal. However, after driving a bit/by the time I get to work (~15 min), I pull into the parking lot and the steering has some rubbing/friction that I can feel and hear. It gets progressively worse as the car has been driven.

I captured a short video here to demonstrate the sound (might need to turn volume up a bit). Anyone experience this or might know what it is?

Its hard to hear in the video. I had something similar...Mine was sticky from stationary, made a faint thump sound when turned. The dealer ended replacing the steering rack.
