Rear spc camber question.

Got one of the straight arms from an ebay vendor, even though the image showed the curved one. I'm guessing the curved one isn't available at this point.

Spent endless time on the phone with SPC engineering. What fun that was.
He basically told me that it was redesigned for strength, and that it works with stock sway bars at stock height. That is all they care about. If you have aftermarket sways that are thicker? F*** you. We don't care. That wasn't the goal in redesign. "That's all ancilary."
His suggestion, was to get shorter endlinks. My tech recommended against that, as the pre-loaded setting may or may not fix the issue.

Keep in mind that this was pointed out to me at alignment shop. I couldn't see that it was happening when the car was on jack stands because unloaded suspension.
So now I need to get a tow home, since the car isn't really driveable. I need to order the curved SPL arms, and TRY to return these.

What a cluster. I'm seething at this point.

Wow, just wow
Hope you can still get curved ones, G/L.
If not Ichiba makes curved ones (basically a SPC knock-off).

Also bummed about this thread. I installed SPC arms and Swift springs on my X Sedan a few months ago and just checked and they are straight also. They actually work and don't hit my tiny rear sway bar but I just ordered Fortune coilovers and a big rear sway bar, looks like I am looking for curved rear arms also.

Straight to it

Read this and just knew that I installed the straight bars. Have had them on for better parts of a year almost and the only sound I hear is the scrape from the metal tab that holds the bumper. No other issues what so ever. I am dropped on tanabe coils with the spc camber arms

I ended up buying SPL arms, which are curved and clear the bar but are massively overkill. They look cool, though... Haha.
FRsport had them for a great price and shipped quickly. They had an option for toe bolts, so I got those thinking they were an SPL piece, but it's just the same SPC ones. Doing it again, I would have gotten those separately on Amazon and saved 10 bucks.
I was able to send the SPC ones back for a full refund, at least. Sorry to those of you that missed the cutoff.

Forget that I mentioned the Ichibas, they may be curved but they may snap

Still can't believe SPC didn't factor aftermarket sway bar clearance when they redesigned these arms. About 50% or more that lower their Gs also beef up their sways

For the sedan guys. I have a 2012 X Sedan. I ordered my camber kit from TH Motorsports and I was drop shipped the 77260 straight arms directly from SPC. I installed them yesterday with no issues. I am dropped on BC Racing coilovers and stock sway bars.

Seems the straight arms are fine w/ OEM sway bars, when you upgrade to thicker aftermarket bars that's when there's not enough clearance.

Yup, this ^^^.

The tolerance is so tight that the couple of mm difference for aftermarket bars is enough to make it not fit. It's also because aftermarket bars have the adjustment plate that is flat and even thicker than the bar...

Well darn

When I start looking to sways now I know to look for camber arms as well. Thanks to the op for voicing this out and the input of others

Here's what I gather from this.
SPC did not take into consideration that we are using these for cars that have
been lowered.
The straight arm will not hit on stock ride heights.
Once lowered, the rsb will interfere.

I can understand SPC going with straight arms, as the weak link was the curve to the weld.

Best if you use the straight ones, then install adjustable RSB links, to raise the RSB slightly. As long as you don't preload it, you're good.
