the only SPC straight arm i see on the market is 72262 and 72290.

B2autodesign, do you think you may have received the wrong part from the manufacturer? Instead of getting the curved 72260, you got the 72262 instead?

Heres a link to 72262
http://www.stillen.com/product/align...62-139550.html

^Its a straight arm for the g37s.

After numerous hours of looking I have not yet seen a straight 72260.

Here's what I know. I'm not certain of the part number of the ones I have (I may still have the box to check it when I get home). I have the arms on my car. For a long time. They are curved. All arms for all G37 are curved. I haven't heard of any rear camber arms being straight for the sedan or the coupe. The Q60 is the same car. The suspension components have not been changed in any way. Why would they now require a straight part? Is my logic flawed? Look at other rear camber applications (Eibach - which are identical to SPC, SPL, Megan, Ichiba etc.) All curved. None straight.

I talked to my sales rep at SPC. I deal direct with SPC. I also talked to the tech at SPC. They have changed the arm, but he didn't know how long ago. My shipment came in last week. So all mine are new inventory. Also as long as I can remember I have been shipping straight bars to the G37 coupe application and have never had an issue with the camber arm hitting the swaybar. Since this is a Q60 SPC would like to find out more information from the customer.

Weird. Charles, is it possible that you could have your SPC guy email you an explanation of why the arms changed from curved to straight when the suspension didn't change and report here for us? And when they made the change? I'm sure there's a good reason.

FWIW, I could only find the box for my front camber arms. But here's a photo of the filthy underside of my car showing what my arms look like. I think I installed them in 2009. It's kind of hard to see from this photo, but a straight arm wouldn't seem like it would fit around my rear sway bar.

Well that's kinda weird they would change it to a straight arm because it is not clearing the sway bar for me.
Today I went back to my shop and installed the curve arm( I only have one :/) that b2autodesign sent me the first time along with the straight bar and the curve bar clears while the straight arm doesn't. The curved arm makes no noise and doesn't hit while the straight arm hits and makes a squeaky noise .

So I have to say

Curved arm = clearance
Straight arm = no clearance

Now if somehow I can get another curved arm that would be great.

I just bought my camber kit in the end of May with rear 72260 and they were curved. Why can't you just get them replaced with the curved ones?

Idk I asked B2autodesign to send me a curved one and I'll ship the straight one back. But there telling me to deal with spc directly. Tbh I might just buy it from another vendor and return the b2 ones back. This is giving me a headache and I've wasted too much money and time already going back and forth to the shop. This should
Of been a straight forward plug and play. Instead it has been a nightmare.

I am trying to get to the bottom of this. Doesn't make sense really. SPC are waiting to get in contact with the customer.

Blacknite sorry for issues this has caused. Please let me know what SPC have to say.

Spc basically just told me to install both the curved arm and the straight arm at the same time, take pictures, and send it to them. They argued with me that the q60 mechanically and suspension wise is a different car...that's why it's hitting..but would like pictures for clarification.

Well anyways, b2 I'm still waiting for that curved arm. Thanks.

Maybe there's some changes on the car mechanically that I'm not aware of that SPC is. Besides a different name for the car. That's the only difference I know of. The pics will tell the tale.

Sounds like you are about to save them a chunk of change in their R&D budget.

They weren't sure if it did change or not. They just argued with me that everytime a new model comes out for any car, mechanically, it could or could not change from the last model. And since mine was hitting, they believed the q60 model was mechanically changed. Then they went off saying they got burned, talking over me, etc.

I'll send them the pics, at the same time I'm going to get my hands on the older 72260 curved arm. Hopefully b2 will send me one as promised.

G/L with this, Charles & B2 are stand up vendors, this has turned out to be quite interesting, hopefully you won't have to wait long to get it right.
