will they fit?

On my 2012 G37 6mt coupe I have avant garde m310
19x9.5 +40
dropped on kw v3's
will a 295/30/19 fit in the rear without rubbing?

also on the front I have 245/40/19 will the 30-40 difference cause any negative effects (currently running 275/35/19 on the rear)

It looks like it will fit. Is there anyway you can test fit it to be on the safe side.

What's the reason for wanting to go that wide? Do you have over 400whp? I wouldn't recommend it if not. Probaly gonna ride bad and not look right. I just put on a 255/35 on a 10.5 and 235/35 on a 9.5, its a mild stretch. I would just stick with the size you have now since you already have a wide tire on that size rim and offset.

^^ reason is just for more grip, I go to the track pretty often, and I would like a little more rear end grip. Plus I like wide tires? lol The 275 is good but still seems a little skinny for me.

Just go with a 275. If you run that much of a difference between your front and rear tires its going to affect your handling. Plus our cars dont need a 295. A 275 is more than enough. If you want more grip go with a track tire or michelin pilot sports.

Out of curiosity why do you feel our cars don't need a 295? Any specific reason or just personal opinion? Have you tracked with your car? Ive tracked with re-11's and still the rear feels a little looser than I like. Ive also run with a difference like this in width with my sedan with no adverse effects on handling. Not trying to refute what your saying, just asking why?

You need a wider wheel for that wide of a tire if not its gonna handle and ride horrible.

False, 305's have been done by multiple people, I have 285s on my 11" Rears and once they wear out I'm going 295, all about offset.

Just saw your offsets, you should have more than enough room. A 295 is a little wide for a 9.5 though.

Thanks again for the info!

there was a porsche article somewhere saying how a little pinch is good on the track. honestly, i think you might rub a TINY bit (nothing shaving the brackets cant fix). im on 19x10 +30 with a 285/35/19 and i rubbed until i got it shaved down a bit.
19x9.5 +40 ~> 19x10 +33.65 -5 (for the 10mm wider tires) ~> 19x10 +28.65 so i anticipate rubbing before you shave the brackets. again, this is very much pending on how low you are (~27"from middle fender to floor, dont remember), how your damping is adjusted (8/10 clicks but im on a different set of coils), and your neg camber (im -2).

however, what concerns me is the 30 profile & your speedo accuracy (since you said you track). look at a previous thread i made about tire sizes and follow some tips i suggested for designing your tire setup.

correction, go the track with hankook rs3 or bridgestone re11s.
