Alignment Question....
Alignment Question....
I just ordered some coilovers and camber kit today.
I want to install them before getting my wheels in.
Will it make any difference if I get an alignment with my stock wheels
vs the 20" wheels I want to get?

i would wait until you put your 20s on to get the alignment UNLESS there's going to be excessive time between your coilover install and the install of your 20s.
another thing you might want to take into consideration is settling of the coils. you MIGHT need another alignment after they settle.

But ya...my coils settled about 3/8 of an inchor so. After they settled, I had them adjusted to be even on all 4 corners, then just had it aligned again...no big deal.
What I would do is install your coilovers and drive on them for about 2 weeks until they settle. Then bring your camber kit and car to alignment shop and have them install camber kit the same time as your alignment.
If you're in SoCal, go to West End for corner balance & alignment. They're amazing.
And your rims shouldn't have any effect on your alignment. The only thing is that the ride height will be different with 19" vs. 20", so I would wait to get corner balanced until after you get the 20's. Your alignment will be completely out of whack though when the coils settle.

I put on 20's later and had to raise my ride height slightly and had it re-aligned, but the change of 19 to 20's alone shouldn't change your alignment.

If you change your wheels, assuming they have different offsets, your suspension geometry will change. In other words your alignment will change. I went to a more aggressive offset on front and rear, without altering ride height via CO, my ride height changed (lower by 0.25" all around). Wheels are same size, tires same size but both different manufacturers. Ride height changed cause front and rear cambered in more due to less positive offsets. Hope this helps.
