Has anyone painted their calipers on their G? If so, could you please post up pics? I wanted to get them done soon (either red or yellow)[amethyst graphite ext]. And also, does the whole paint chipping/pealing whatever occur after some time or no?

 

Me and my dad did it.. took around 5 hours. I'd either get it powder-coated or took an extra-long time to make it look real professional. Mine are decent.

 

Here is the best picture I could find. It was done by a custom shop and have no had problems with it at all. Will try to get better pictures later.

 

Damn that's nice.. could you PM me what they made you pay for the painted calipers?

 

i did my calipers as a weekend project, ill post them up later. bought the duplicolor caliper paint kit for like $40 and did it in an hour or two. how much did you spend to get them professionally done / powdercoated and how long did it take? its been about a month and already small bits have chipped off. the color is nice and bright though. i did it in red.

They sell a kit with paint and a brush. Its very straight forward. i did it on my lexus and it lasted for years.

 

True, but if you look at my picture you can see the Infiniti writing on the caliber. Those were hand painted and took ALOT of time and attention to detail. Buying the kit may work well but wont get the attention to detail unless the user can do some serious detailing.

I had the option of putting stickers instead of painting Infiniti on the calibers but decided I would just have them painted on.

 

I did mine in red w/paint and had fastsigns make the 'Akebono' logo for me for like 30 bucks.
Looks decent, may powdercoat in future. will post picture when i can.
ps: didnt remove the calipers at all. taped it all off and did it on the car. easy
