I got a set of I Forged TE-10 track edition rims about a year ago.

My rear driver side tire somehow got a crack in it and was leaking air.

I took it to I Forged, they looked at it and said they had never seen anything like it. I talked to them today and they said that they were going to repair the solid aluminum wheel. They said they would not replace the one rim and only offered to repair it. Side note: this rim style was discontinued recently so their option is to fix it or give me all new rims.

I do not think that a solid aluminum wheel can be fixed. They can stop it from leaking air for a while, but I think it will eventually start leaking air again in the near future.

If I am wrong and you have experienced this before or have knowledge on how to fix this problem, please let me know. I want to find the best permanent fix for my car.

Sorry to hear the bad news...Hope everything gets worked out...Fast forward wheels in monterey park should be able to fix it...Oh and you should definitely get a set of Volks bro...Hope all goes well with getting your issue resolved....

 

Why do you presume an aluminum wheel can't be repaired???

 

It's a solied aluminum wheel with a crack all the way though it what can you do to about that problem?

 

theyre prolly gonna weld it.

 

Hmm good luck. I think they've changed a lot of styling and also strength on their new wheels. Hope it works out for you.

I didn't think you can weld aluminum? And know I'm going to have a weld mark on my wheel. I wont be OK with that.

Aluminum can most certainly be welded. Then you grind the bead down smooth. Then you polish it down to where the finish is just like new. Basically they will rebuild your wheel.

 

I didn't hit anything its a defect in the aluminum

 

Just an update to my nightmare with I Forged. They said I would have my wheel back this week and know they will not return my phone call's. Every time I call Steve transfers me to Rudy (it's not a big room they can see each other) and I leave a message and I don't get a call back.

 

Still no wheel! I gave them my wheel June 23rd

 

gotta love the slips into customer service, reputable company or not, it's no one's issue but urs and so and i do hope u get resolution and hopefully soon
