NEWBIE Q: suspension height G37 coupe RWD vs. AWD

I have a G37x coupe, so AWD, and I'm looking to buy Eibach lowering springs. When I look at the drop difference between the RWD and AWD for the coupe....the AWD drops 1.9in in the front and 1.6in in the back, which ile RWD drops 1.2in in the front and 0.8in in the back. Are the stock AWD coupe ride height normally higher than the RWD coupe? Just wondering if 1.9in drop may be too much, since I live in Toronto, and have to worry about snow. TIA

I have the Eibach Pro Kit on my X coupe and don't think it's low enough. I love in NJ and the weather especially snow is pretty bad but I've lasted 2 winters so far without any issues at all.

Here's some close up pictures of my drop to compare what yours will look like on all 4 sides on an awd coupe.

Yes, the AWD comes higher than the RWD coupes

Thanks! Good pics for reference! How many finger spaces is that? 1?

Did you have a to buy a camber kit? I'm guessing alignment is a must?

How is the day to day driving?

Day driving is great I think it's A LOT better than the stock feel for sure. It's about an estimated finger space and as for camber kits you might want a rear camber kit only to be safe.

I personally have had these springs for about 2 years now without a camber kit but I got a new set of wheels and tires and noticed a little camber wear on my old set but they lasted a pretty good while.

I'll bet it was toe wear. Thrust (and wear) from camber is pretty small.

Would camber bolts do the trick? Or do I need the whole kit? I don't need a camber kit for the front? The front ones are quite expensive...so would rather not have to if I don't need it

Some people can get away without camber kits with mild drops. If you do end up with excess negative camber, be sure to have front toe set to zero and a small toe-in in the rear for stability. The car will lose its sense of straight ahead but you'll save your inner shoulder. You'll get used to it after awhile and think it's normal.
