New G37xS (2013) owner

Hey all,

Last weekend I bought a certified pre-owned G37xS. My former ride was a 2006 GTO. It got totaled so I thought I would use this opportunity to get a sedan of some sort to better accommodate my role as a father now. I was really discouraged in my search, as I wanted something with 4 doors but still have power to sate my inner desires. I was about to say screw it and just get another GTO (I loved that car) when my long time VQ family best friend suggested a g35 sedan. Long story short I found myself test driving a g37 instead. I must say, I'm impressed with the power this thing puts down. I also didn't realize how nice Infiniti's were, I'm very pleased and excited to get my mod on. I look forward to chatting with you all and will try to do some extensive searching before asking any newbie questions.

Mods I'm planning in the near future:

-Tint

-Exhaust

-Wheels (prob 19s - for the AWD is it typical to have an offset between fronts and rears?)

-and either springs or coilovers, not sure which one yet, want to preserve some ride quality but have a drop for sure

Welcome to the site, nice clean X sedan you found.
As far as staggered wheels on an AWD G, it's done often but you must be careful w/ tire sizing, problems can occur if your diameter variance front to back is over 1%, luckily there's several combos that will work and some that are virtually zero difference.

Thanks blnewt. As far as the stagger goes, if I had 19s all around (lets say 8.5s up front and 9.5s out back) as long as I went with the same diameter tire (lets say 245/45R19) shouldnt it be the same? Man I just realized by staggered you may have thought i meant rim size and not rim width, I'm sorry.

If the stagger isn't too wide you could run the same tires all around. I was referring to running different width tires on different width wheels though. Here's a post w/ various compatible combos

Wow, that's extremely helpful. Thank you! I'm saving this for when I take the plunge on the wheels.
