Akebono brake pad clips

I ordered Akebono ACT905 and ACT888 for my non sport sedan calipers. There are no clips that came with them and I can't find any place to order new ones. Does everyone just reuse the old ones? It doesn't seem right.

Do you mean shims? I believe the Akebonos are like the Stoptech pads and they have an integrated shim that's part of the pad back plate, just need to grease them, you wouldn't reuse the old ones if that's the case.

You should be able to reuse yours unless something were to get damaged during the R&R, never hurts to have spares though. When I changed my pads last time non of the hardware parts were in need of replacement but YMMV.

Thanks for your feedback. I don't suppose you have a source for spares? Rather have them during the project and make the call then.

RockAuto Parts Catalog under brake hardware, the catalog is a bit clunky to navigate but you'll get there.
One front set for the front and one for the rear, they come in pairs.
