Bremebo

I have always used OEM Brembo blanks on all of my cars and they seem to have lasted longer than any other brand I tried before.

brembo does not have rotors for the sport models. i don't think they even have rotors for the base models either, but not sure.

OP - this is a very easy DIY if you have a basic socket set. and i didn't touch the fronts, they were fine. as blnewt said, the Centric premium rotors are OE-equivalent so no worries about mix/match on that front.
Do you remember the name of the OEM wholesaler online?

Thanks for the input btw!! Much appreciated

^ it was either orderinfinitiparts.com, or infinitipartsusa.com, or wholesaleinfinitiparts.com, or something like that. find out the part numbers you are looking for and just google search that part number. check the various supplier websites and compare pricing and delivery charges for the best deal.

when i bought the pads the website had a free shipping and 20% off promotion going on.

I have stoptech slotted cryo rotors on all four corners with Hawk HPS pads. Extremely pleased with them, much better than the OEM.

My problem is that I have practically brand new OEM pads on the front because I had them changed at the stealership (procrastination on my part... Was left with few options at that point). So now I'm looking to match front to back.

I'll probably fork up the $140CAD the stealership wants for the pads, and buy the rotors off of rockauto. Even if I were to buy pads off of rockauto, the current exchange rate USD ---> CAD would kill me (32-35% mark up w/ mastercard at this point )

i checked orderinfinitiparts.com and they list the rear OEM Sport brakes at $55.02 for the set. double check your part numbers, this is for D4060JL00J which is what i used in my '09 S sedan. all S models will take the same pads regardless of model year.

2009 Infiniti G37 Parts - Infiniti parts

wholesaleinfinitiparts.com shows $52.23. this is Infiniti of Kansas City's online parts site.

add ~$10 for shipping to a US drop box.

As far as part # on the rotors I'll list the front & rear for reference along w/ those Posi Quiet Ceramics & Stoptech Pads for others that may be interested.

For the Sport (Akebono) 355mm front/350mm rear rotors at www.rockauto,com
Centric Premium Front rotor
#12042100 $71.79
Centric Premium Rear rotor
#12042101 $55.89

Centric Posi Quiets
Front#10513460 $36.99
Rear #10513470 $28.89

Stoptech Street Pads
Front # 30913460 $73.79
Rear# 30913470 $47.99
+1 to the above!

Turning Rotors

So I bought my G37 off a lease return with 18k in miles. Now around 25k the fronts are squeaking. I figure get both front and back replaced. Should I turn the rotors? I already bought the pads so I'm going to an ASE mechanic who will do the labor for $200.00 which is pretty cheap in the Bay Area.

Please advise,

Please advise,
A good scrub w/ scotchbrite pads should suffice if you haven't had any pedal vibration when braking. If you do feel vibration you may have some runout that can be eliminated by turning the rotors.

I replaced my stock OEM pads with Hawk HPS Street pads.
Seems just as quiet and low-dust as the stock and should have more stopping power.
I haven't tried verifying yet --- it seems the same or better for the normal braking I've done.
I got them from tirerack.com
The Hawk HPS Street are actually cheaper than the normal Hawk Ceramics pads.
I think Akebono are the OEM pads.

I went with the Hawk HPS Street because I had the same brake pads on my old car (02 WRX bugeye) and the performance was excellent!
It seems like the OEM on the G37 are really good already because it's not a night/day difference like it was on my Subaru.

Put your vehicle specs in the tirerack.com site and search for brakes.
Everything compatible will come up.

I replaced my fronts in March and I just bought the rears today.
In retrospect, I should have done the rears as soon as possible after the front because by the time I heard the scratching my rear passenger rotor has the top half-inch scratched pretty deep.
That being said, I'll be reading the rest of this thread about suggested rotor replacements.

FYI don't expect an answer on a 5 year old thread. Go ahead and create a new one for your questions.

Thanks for the recommendation on the Hawk HPS. Coming from Centric PosiQuiet, it was quite obvious.

Rears are due; I'll probably be getting a metallic or semi-metallic pad (Bosch?) to replace.
