Moonface roll center adjusters?
I have the MoonFace roll center adjusters on the front of my G37 Coupe. I would not recommend them to ANYBODY!!! They do restore roll center if your car has been lowered, along with bump steer adjustable tie rod ends. My car felt a lot better with those two items on with about a 2'' drop in the front. BUT! a couple weeks went by, I decided to put my car on a lift to check those items to make sure everything was okay and found out the roll center adjusters lowered the lower control arm into the steering knuckle so much that it busted the LCA's ball joint boots and made a mess. Now I need to buy new LCA's because the ball joint cant be replaced just by itself. I also lost steering angle because of where the bump stop for the steering knuckle was located after I installed the RCA's. I will post pictures sometime soon just to show the after math.
I know this is an old thread but I wanted to give an update: I've had the front and rear RC correction bushings and tie rods on my car now for about 12,000 miles and have not experienced any failure of the before-hand mentioned type. I'm in a X, not sure if that makes any real difference other than my drop was about 2.5" inches in the front and back as the X sits higher from the factory. It did help roll center and bump steer to a notable level.
Also would like to add I got my parts direct from Moonface (front RC adjusters, rear RC adjusters, and front tie rods), cost about $325US after shipping when you get them direct but I did have to wire the money from my bank to theirs.
Also would like to note that unless I was running spacers on my front wheels the tie rods would make contact with the inner rim as the moonface tie rods are not curved to form around the wheel. Just something to keep in mind for some.
I'm also unsure how Mylicari_IPL's issue happened as the adapters do not lower the control arm into the knuckle but space it away from it more in an attempt to readjust geometry of the control arm back to simulated stock ride height. It also doesn't adjust anything on the steering knuckle or effect the tie-rod bump stop, so I'm thinking he might have had another issue with his install. Just my afterthought.
