Best Possible Suspension Modification for AWD coupe
I realize that this is for coupe...but other than the Swift springs, pretty much the same situation.
I don't want to just replace the springs w/ Tanabe...unless there really is no concern about the OEM shocks/struts. I saw the Koni yellow and was wondering why nobody uses that with the Tanabe NF210 springs for the X? Is it possible? If so, would the ride be that much harsher? I guess I don't want to spend the amount for the Fortune coils if Swift is doing something other than what they have available right now. Of course...I still need to do a lot of reading. That being said, what about the Swift 4N907? Why Tanabe over the Swift?
Ideally, I wouldn't mind doing the fix that Brad put me onto...

As long as I could either 1.) Not need to worry about my OEM struts, or 2.) Get the Koni's or something on there to counter it. I don't know...just throwing stuff out there that I'm sure has already been beaten into the ground haha.

I'd look into scoring a used set of Koni Yellows off the 370Z forum ($4-500), as well as a used set of front X shocks, then send them to a shop like true choice to transplant the guts of the konis into your extra set of shocks.
It doesn't matter if the Konis you get are blown....they can be rebuilt when they swap the guts.
Note I dont know if this will actually work
Swift Springs WILL definetly blow out your stock shocks if youre over 35-40K Miles like they did on my 12 G37xs BUT i went with some aftermarket shocks and loving the lowered ride combined with 15MM spacers for a nice stanced(not slammed) look perfect for NY potholes! Upgrading to the hotchkiss swaybars after reading an earleir post as its a daily.
Get the Sport rear away bar it can be had for as little as $50. It makes the car more neutral and it decreases body roll. The car feels more planted and doesn’t understeer as much. Koni Yellows are a favorite of mine across multiple platforms, can’t go wrong with those
ditto to star
