I just placed my order at TH Motorsports for the Fortune 500 coils. Turns out that the Swift springs that are used as the upgrade on the coils are a different diameter than the ones that are sold for just spring replacement lowering. So I've put my Swift springs up for sale in the classifieds section. That will offset the cost a little bit so I'm good. I really appreciate all the responses, opinions, and help! I hope that one day I can return the favor. This is a shot in the dark on an Infiniti forum but if any of you need any reproduction sheet metal for 60's and 70's GM or Mopar muscle cars, let me know. I can hook you up with a discount from a great company (ok, so there's a little bit of employee bias there).

Let me know how you like those fortune 500's, really considering them myself, after I get the wheels of course.

I'll update here for sure. Takes 2-3 weeks for them to be built and shipped though.

checking on-line I see many different coiler setups for G37x sedan's. At least they are advertised to fit. KSports, BC Racing, D2, Megan Racing, etc. I know these are premium brands, but are well known manufacturers that have been around a while. Why don't these fit the X Sedan? Why won't any sedan coilovers fit the X sedan? Also why would the car look bad lowered on stock rims without spacers? do they look tucker too much?

Actually those brands you listed are more of the budget brands, I have the Megans and they've been fine FWIW. The premium brands would probably start w/ KWs and go up from there, they can get pretty exotic and cost upwards of $3k for premium coilovers.

As far as fitting the X, the rears will fit, but the front lower strut mounts are completely different so only front X coilovers (and lowering springs) will work on X models and not on RWDs and vice-versa.

Seems the best coilover option for the X guys are the Fortune 500s, but some of the others are worth a look and should be better than lowering springs. I've got over 30k miles on my Megans and have held up well.

Thank you. So you have the Megans on your X sedan and there were no fitment problems? They have performed well too? I had BC's on my 3G altima V6 and I thought they were good overall. Also do you have wheel spacers and what is the big deal with spacers on our cars? I see a bunch of them for sale.

Once you drop you'll get some unsightly tuck, hence the spacers for OEM wheels. you could also drop some cash on some nice aftermarket wheels with better offsets too.

No, I have a RWD w/ the Megan LPs but they've exceeded my expectations.
I have aftermarket wheels w/ specific offsets to keep the wheels flush without spacers.

what size spacers would you recommend for stock 17" X sedan rims? 7.5" width I believe.
