Is this the "morning sound" everyone talks about??

So here's video of my G37S making that infamous morning brake sound that I've been reading a lot about. It's a 2011 Journey Sedan G37S. I just bought it last week and I noticed the brakes squeaked while backing out and while creeping to a stop. It's more of a hollow sound though, but only for a bit, once I pull out of my street I hear absolutely nothing. Told the guys at the dealership and they said pretty much what everyone here has been told, "It's just brake dust since you have the sports package you need to understand that sports brakes tend to collect more dust due to them being enclosed as opposed to regular brakes...it's normal in the mornings or when you wash the car or there's any type of moisture...it's normal."

I've had them check them a couple of times now because I really don't like my brakes squeaking at ANY time, it's usually in the mornings and sometimes after work when the brakes are cold. They really didn't have any suggestions, again they just said it was normal. Anyone on here have any suggestions? Do more expensive brake pads fix this? Or is this just something I have to deal with?

Switch to stop techs and bed them correctly. I did it and haven't had a squeak at all in months and months. The OEM pads are good, but if you live in a particularly humid area, a light coating of rust develops overnight.

Yea I live in south Texas, ugly weather down here...UGLY. Thanks for the advice, I'm definitely going to switch the OEM pads. Though I've been reading that Stop Techs create a lot of dust...less squeaking but in some cases more brake dust. Have you experienced this? Maybe it's one of those things where you can only have either or (either noise or dust)?

Yes you will get more brake dust. If you want to avoid dust and squeaking, you'll probably need to look at ceramic pads. You definitely lose stopping power though.

Sweet! Thanks for the advice. Very informative. Would it be wise to try bedding with the pads it has now? Or that a big no-no?
