Just bought BC racing coils
Does anyone know what the spring rates are on the bc racing coils that use swift springs?
I don't need to go lower, but if I could swap in the bc fronts with swift springs and just use the strut in the rear so that dampening adjustments could be made, I think it would be a win
Oh no. You wont use Swift Spring up front as the coil and strut are one ...but in the rear for the X the strut and spring are seperate thus the ability to swap rear swift springs for the bc springs. Look up a pic of uninstalled bc coilovers for the X...
Tunerz Store is working on this setup with swift springs and rubber bushings on a set of BC coils. They are still testing them out when I spoke to them last week.
F - 8k Swift Springs
R - 6k Swift Springs
Seems the BC struts are the culprits of all the noise. They swapped in the OEM struts and the noise disappeared. My input is to try a different manufacturer's rear adjustable strut seeing as the RWD and AWD sedan share the same rear suspension geometry.
I'm personally waiting for them to figure out a solid option before I jump on coil overs. Fortune Auto did mention getting involved with a set of AWD coil overs, but that won't be for about a year.

That said, I look forward to what happens with this.

I didn't see this post before my last one. Thanks for the info.

From: Framingham Ma,
FWIW I have D2 Racing coilovers on my 10' X sedan and they are perfect so far after about 10K miles. They bolt right up with no issues and so far no sounds or noises at all. Weird I havent seen people mention these coilovers which means maybe they dont make them anymore. Ill have to check. Just a heads up if anyone wants to check it out.

So I'm a little nervous I brought the clunk noise up to the vendor and asked about adding a thicker cushion or thoughts on not having it and they said they never heard anything about it?
It has nothing to do with a "thicker cushion"... the noises are coming from the rear struts - something internal. Usually the noises are common at low speeds when hitting road imperfections.
