Alignment woes.....
I do have a question....toe arms can be installed on our cars right? I keep hearing about removing the rear spring bucket and replace with a toe arm. Well I use my spring bucket, so now how do I install a toe arm? Lol
I have read around that the "proper" way to adjust the toe is through the toe bolts. And that the ( "toe" arms are a bad idea because they change 2 planes of suspension geometry as they are lengthened, which affects both toe and rear "caster", whereas the toe bolts in the OEM location only change toe as a result of their adjustment. ).
I'd go with the eccentric toe bolts.
I'd go with the eccentric toe bolts.
Well I have the SPC toe bolts.......but with being low, they do not hold the alignment setting, and flex out of place. so its a constant trip to the alignment rack to put it back into spec.
Might be worthwhile to contact SPC and see if they have a lockout kit for their bolts. If they do please post up as I have SPC arms and Toe kit and although my alignment has held true I wouldn't mind a bit more protection.
The link blnewt and I sent you should do the trick. Those toe lockout washers should keep your toe locked in place.

What about aftermarket Toe bolts that come with wider range adjustment eccentric washers?
Well, the aftermarket toe bolts on the market utilize a semi circle toe bolt to mount the eccentric washers. They obtain the semi circle by machining a "flat" section out of the bolt in order to have the higher range - eccentric washer slip over the bolt. This is where the bolt is weakend and becomes the reason why the aftermarket toe bolts out on there begin to SLIP and STRETCH when load is applied.

I understand the lock out bolts, but my question is, with ninth we way to adjust the toe, how are these useful with those of us without toe arms? Pretty much, how can you adjust the toe, with a square bolt locked in between the groves around the edges? Or am I missing some other concept here? Lol

Ok I talked to a buddy of mines who I call the suspension guru. Anyways I was wrong about the lockout washers. They ONLY work in conjunction with toe arms. Which means true coils..
Other alternative option is to take your spc toe kit to a machine shop and have them machine you new eccentrics. Read here more about it

Another option is to buy the SPL titanium rear mid link. Which is insanely expensive.
Pretty much three choices
1. True coils with lockout washers + toe arms (which he say is the best)
2. Have shop custom machine you new eccentrics (cheapest option)
3. Buy those SPL titanium rear mid link to have complete control over toe (most expensive it seems)
