I'm ordering the rotors from brakeperfomance tonight for my 08 g37s. I've followed both of those posts and I'm really excited. I bought my pads from RockAuto - total almost at $130.00. Can't wait to put em in. Next some drop!

Once you get them on be sure to post a review on that thread, the more reviews we get the better

Also be sure to properly bed-in your pads as per manufacturers specifics.

I recommend the RacingBrake kit (racingbrake.com). I got mine through a group buy last October. The kit is a bit pricey but the increase in braking performance is amazing. The front rotors are 22 lbs. each, giving a weight savings of ≈ 8.5 lbs per front wheel over the 1-piece stock units. The rear rotors are 16 lbs. and save 4 lbs each over stock.

The kit includes pads, rotors and stainless lines. The only drawback is that you have to cut the dust shields on the rear so they don't hit the nuts/bolts on the aluminum hats. Other than that, this kit is fantastic. It won't fade and is highly resistant to warping due to the 2 piece design and improved heat dissipation.

The other thing that I will add is that just resting the weight of your foot on the brake pedal gives more braking power than having to apply some pressure with the stock units. I always felt that the stock Akebono's (while good), seemed like they were being a bit overrun by the car when stopping from highway speeds. Not so with the RB rotors.

The ones that blnewt mentioned look pretty nice as well.

Entire Break Upgrade?

I wanted to ask (with out adding a new thread) I dont have the Sport edition, but I have most of the sport package (that is wheels, added bigger sways, etc... - bought used, wasnt a choice for the Sport)
My issue is a Lot of break feedback at higher speeds. I have been told I should flush my break fluid, then the Infiniti dealership said they have Never had to do that - so ... I know I want a break upgrade anyhow. I like the cross drilled rotors mentioned earlier in this thread - but is there a "Big Break Kit" available with larger Calp's as well as larger rotors? Im looking to be around $1500 ish if I can.

Any feedback would be cool (other than but a sport

Thanks.

This is the Nissan version, same exact setup just the Nissan gunmetal calipers (which for whatever reason always sell for more) but it's a complete kit
Nissan Akebono BBK Big Brake Kit Complete Upgrade - Nissan 350Z 370Z
You can find the Akebono Infiniti version for about $100 less at places like CZPerformance, might also check th emarketplace w/a WTB (want to buy) thread, folks move these quite a bit over there.

Keep in mind you'll also need an 18" BBK spare tire to fit over the Akebonos, those go for about $250

Brakes stop you, breaks are what you take at work!!

Flush the fluid at least every 2-3 years, more so if you're an aggressive braker.
