turns out the vanes are non-directional per R1 Concepts so im good to go. Thank god cuz I didn't want to reinstall them again.

 

If they're non directional, are the front rotors the same? or does one have the vanes opposite the other?

I got the answer.

 

Update: It's been just short of a month but they have a great bite after about 800 miles. Rotors look great and the braking is smooth and quiet with little dust from what I can tell. Will update in 3 months or so?

 

are these the 105 ceramic posiquiets?

 

I'm not sure if they make more than one kind. They're the ones that fit the sport model.

 

Want to revive this for two reasons:
1. A final word from Cheese on the Posi-quiet ceramic pads in the front.
2. Thinking about buying a set from ConceptZPerformance. The rep told me that he recommends semi-metallic for the front and ceramic for the rear. "...they have good results from this setup and ceramic pads can be a bit more abusive on the front rotor." I'd like to ask what you all think of that?

 

1. My final word. After a few thousand miles, there is surface rust on the braking surface (like any other rotor). This comes off once the brakes are applied. The rotors are solid and I would not hesitate recommending these for street use. I don't, or will ever, track my car, so I can't say how well they respond to high heat cycles but for around town, they work just fine.

The posi-quiet ceramics are quiet and low dust. I have oem replacement pads on my e34 and they dust like crazy. I have silver wheels on my e34 and after a few days of cleaning, they get very dusty. When I have to replace pads and rotors, I will be getting blanks and ceramics from these guys.

2. Generally, ceramic is better than semi-metallic in almost every way. They are more expensive than semi-metallic but the pros outweigh the cost.
