spc jounce spacers

My SPC Front Camber Arms are contacting the body during sharp compression. The camber arm kit comes with spc jounce spacers which are supposed to help eliminate contact. I'm a little confused on where to install the jounce spacers. Has anyone had to do this? Below are the instructions that come with the kit. http://www.spcalignment.net/instruct...00-INS_WEB.pdf

I figured it out. I just slid the dust boot down a tiny bit and placed the spacer directly above the bump stop. I also raise the front up a 1/4 inch which should help. I'm now sitting at 26.5" on all four corners ground to fender.

Do you have any pics of the location of spacers? I'm sure I'm going to need them when I install my arms. Did you install one on each side only? Let us know if they solved your problems.

I heard the newer versions of the arms don't have the issues w/ contact of the fenderwell. Mine never have and I was pretty low before my coilovers at 25.6" in the front. This was on a sedan, not sure if the coupe is different though.

Ya I just got the newest arms as well but they came with these jounce spacers so I thought the problem must still exist? Did your new spc arms come with the spacers?

No, no spacers included. The SPC arms I have are the previous sedan version to what they currently have. But mine replaced the previous version that was having clearance issues at the fenderwells.
Is yours a coupe?

I'm guessing mine are the newest version. I just bought them from Genome Tuning. I'm in a sedan. I'll update the post in a few weeks. Hopefully this takes care of it.

These camber arms SUCK!! Im sitting at a little over 25" and these are constantly knocking on my fender wall! I have both jounce spacers installed yet still the problem exists...Didn't really have this issue with the OEM arms. Don't know what to do? Only options I see is to get rid of these, however I do need the added camber they provide or to make a cut in the fender wall for them to clear.... Maybe try adding one more jounce spacer?

Any Ideas? Please don't say RAISE THE CAR

I have contacted SPC, awaiting response

Thanks guys

Throwing this out there, worn dampers will also cause those arms to extend higher than it normally would.

Been there myself.

Thanks Mike, however if the dampers were worn shouldn't this problem exist with the OEM arms? Im running JIC FLT TARS with not even 10000kms on them.

edit. Just got off the phone with the guys at SPC. They claim to know that this is a very common issue with our cars however have no solution to this problem other then to cut or hammer out upper fender...

Glad you got hold of them. The SPC seems a little taller due to the adjustment screw. The OEM camber may be over-extended as well, but since it's not as tall, it'll never touch anything.
