Dropped the brackets off at the local powdercoater this morning. He identified the original paint as "Prism Flake" powdercoat, and said it was one of the most expensive techniques out there. It's why the brackets looked both green, teal, blue and gray... depending on the light.

Either way, I don't like it. So he's going to chemically strip the brackets, and coat them in gloss black, with a metallic clear-coat over that.

And that's what I'm doing with the brackets. Gonna be a week or two before I get them back.

I'll mess around with ordering ti-bolts after installation.

Finally got the GT-Spec installed today. Little bit of titanium hardware for the pins and bracket nuts, although I used the GT-Spec strut nuts.

The bar itself polished up nicely, with the GT-Spec logo all but disappeared, which is what I wanted. Just a clean, logo-less look.

Looks great, I like how it blends in and almost looks OEM.

Notice any improvement in steering feel or any other benefits? I really can't decide if I want one of these or not. Might just go with Hotchkis sways and call it a day.

Not even a little bit, no. And I thrashed it around the highway ramps this afternoon, kind of curious. However, it's still Winter and I still have my Blizzaks on the car, so that pretty much ruins it as far as seeing what impact the FSTB has on handling. Either way, I'm not really expecting anything at this point. From what I've read here about the G, the FSTB augments the stiffer, aftermarket sway bars. Until then, it's mostly just bling.

Like you, Hotchkis sways are on my list, too. In the meantime, the thicker sways on the RWD-Sport Sedan are a pretty good setup.

After I get my summer tires back on, I'm sure to take an afternoon driving around with/without to see what's up.

Niiiiiiiice buddy! Looks very good and very *you*. Yes, you have a style.

And I agree you won't feel the benefit of the FTSB without sways and particularly with those crappy tires (but you do need them with the ridiculous weather we've been having).
