Dealer can't do alignment

I had taken my G37xS sedan to my Infiniti dealer for an oil change and 4 wheel alignment the other week and was told they can't do the alignment because the car is lowered. My car has Swift springs, SPC camber kits front and rear and Hotchkis sway bars, that's it. As most of the members of this forum know Swift springs offer a minimul drop that many people might not even notice. The mechanic told me "the car is too low to get over their alignment equipment". Is there anybody on this forum that has been given the same excuse for not being able to get their car aligned at a dealer?

most of the time they are being overly cautious or maybe he just didnt want to deal with doing the alignment. either way i prefer taking it to a shop that specialize in alignments, you will get better results.

Had a similar problem. Told them to get boards to drive the car on the lift if they want my business. Otherwise the second issue was they changed their alignment equipment that attached to the wheels and it could not fit with the minimal wheel gap I had. If they can't accommodate you go elsewhere.

Only two shops in our town that will do it, and only one has computer printouts, luckily the lone shop has a good tech that really takes his time to get everything safely into spec.
Good luck OP, definitely time well spent looking for the right shop.
If you live in a larger metro area you might even want to post a thread about where to find a good alignment shop for lowered Gs in your particular city.

Thanks for the imput on my alignment problem. I've found a shop that does nothing but alignments and in fact, most of the service stations that do mechanical work send there alignment jobs to this guy. I'll stop by this guys place and see if he can help me. Again, thanks for the help.
