Did mine about this time last year. Installed them on my back, so getting a torque wrench in there was challenging. So far nothing has loosened. My reference for the frame brackets was a bit tighter than an oil drain plug, and good and snug (
) for the end links.

Been reading a lot about aftermarket sways, and I'm going to also wrap the bars with yellow, gas-line teflon tape under the bushings.
Man, it's been a long, long winter.

Curious- why the tape? I feel like that will just cause more of a long term mess than not, after it inevitably shreds.
Is it for fear of squeaking? I'm tellin ya, with those ribbed bushings (giggle) and right the right grease (giggle^2) they were DEAD quiet for me, even in the dead of winter storms.

I found overwhelming advice for the teflon tape, on countless car forums. And the common recommendation was for the gas-line yellow tape, which is thicker than the little white tape I'm familiar with. Personally, I'm good with the ribbed bushings and the ES pre-lube. And if my mechanic mocks me and says, "No, you're an idiot", well then I guess I won't use it.
He might just say that anyway, LOL. But it was only $2.
No squeaking for the entire three months you had the sways, huh? Three whole months...

If anything, adding something in there that thickens the interface could promote resistance. You want the motion to be as free of friction as possible so as not to contribute to the spring rate of the bar.
I'd stick with as-is unless you run into a problem. In which case I would point to a need for bushing replacement or better lube.
But that's just me...

We'll see. I trust my guy's judgement. It wouldn't be the first time I ran something by him only to get pushed back. He's usually right, and sometimes he's saved me money at his own expense... hence the trust. Rarely get advice from him that I flat out disagree with. Either way, this is so-o minor, Ash.
Are you getting instant email notification or something? F5, F5, F5... LOL

But three months on my car is probably twelve on most garage queens (absolutely not pointing at you, J- I'm saying in general I push my cars and their parts hard).I'm intrigued by this teflon tape idea and will look into it. Probably won't do it, but will look into it for knowledge
Touche' my friend.
