lowering g37 question

Hi I have a 2012 g37 coupe and want to lower my car.

Anyone use lowering springs on factory shocks ?

Dont want to drop the car to much about 1.5 to 2 inches

I have 19' rims
19x8.5 225/40/19 front
19x9.5 245/40/19 rear

It is perfectly fine to do that. Go with Tein's S techs for that drop. But next time just do a little searching!!!

you will need camber kits if you lower your car more than a 1" drop. unless you have mad money to waste on tires. Happy modding~~

2.0" is pretty much the slammed look for the most part. Depends how low you go..but it's recommended you change the stock shocks unless your drop is a conservative drop.

Dude you just paid $40k or more for your car
Do it right and get coilovers. I recommend KW V1. They will improve your ride ten times fold. They will give you the drop you want. They will last you a long time. You put springs on your oem shocks they are just going to blow out after some time then your going to have to spend $800 getting new ones. I also recommend eibach sway bars to help with control. Then go with SPC camber kit foe the front and rear. Doing all that will.make your car feel like a true GT.

I think eibach springs are the most popular along with swift, H&R, and Ark seems to be pushing through recently.

Are 2011 and 2012 suspension the same on a g37 coupe journey or has it been changed ?

I saw some coilovers and springs that say 08-11 only

Nope, none at all, just bottomed-out once pulling out.............from my baby mama's parking garage but I learned my lesson. I'm going ot put 20mm spacers ont eh front and 15mm on the rear soon though.

Check out my write up on it: https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-cou...newb-mods.html
