Shop Quote To Install Eibach Pro Kit

I got a quote to install a bunch of new goodies on my 2009G37XS.

R2C Intake
Fast Intentions RHFC
Eibach Pro Kit
Hotchkis Sways

The shop quoted me $1200 (12 hours / $100 per hour) to install all of the above.

The stand out was 5.5 hours to install the Eibach springs. Does that sound right to you guys? I may need to do some of this myself, although I am not very mechanically inclined. LOL

Appreciate your advice. Thanks.

I did the raintake myself. Took like an hour following the directions (they'll come with them)

Cost me $100 to have my sways put on
Cost me $400 to get my coils put on (comparing them to your pro kit cause they're more work)
And I was quoted $300 to get an exhaust put on the car with HFC.

$1200 seems REALLY high

Keep looking around.

Thanks, Mattster - you validated my assumption. Such a shame, because the shop came recommended. My buddy's son-in-law is a Nissan Master Tech - Im waiting for a call back to see if he wants to do it for some extra cash. :-)

You should be able to the intake yourself. Took me 40 min.

The spring cost is definately high. I got quoted $200-250 for spring and shocks installed. I ended up installing it myself to save money.

Best way to do it.

It's not what ya know, but who ya know.

Good luck.

Just heard from him - sounds like I will be headed to the dealership after-hours this weekend for some fun modding. Gonna get my nav maps updated, alignment, and oil changed while I am there. Gonna have to do everything over a few visits, but I am freaking thrilled I just found "my guy". Calling me tomorrow with prices, but I'm optimistic. :-)

Curious as to what he's gonna charge you. Pm me and let me know when you find out.

Good stuff, OP. That's a nice connection to have.

(For what it's worth, $1200 seems about $400 too high for the work you're having done. )

I would say $500 to $600 as a side job from a dealer tech would be in line.
