VLSD Issues + no steering lock?

So a couple months ago i swapped my 08 5at fr a 2012 6mt coupe. Everythings great the car has about 3.5k miles on it now. Only real problem ive been having is with the lsd. Compared to my 08 it feels much slower to engage. Driving aggressively it fails at almost every corner and i can feel the inside wheel peeling. Not sure if its just the new set of 050s gripping too much or if its an issue. Anyone else had this problem? I know the viscous isnt amazing but the old g was definately better than this is.

Also one other unrelated issue im having is that the steering wheel wont lock when turning off the car. I can literally steer the car with it off and on neutral. Could this be electrical?

If the inside wheel spins, then its slow to disengage. (Its locking).
You're under warranty, the dealer will most likely do a fluid change with additive, see if it frees up. Sounds like its too tight.

I used to feel mine break loose making hard rights into driveways, it has since softened up.

You also have a LOT more power than a 3.5 with AT. 6MTs dont lose as much.

The steering lock is a solenoid plunger, yes it's electrical.

^thanks a lot for the input. The old g was also a 3.7 just with an auto tranny so i guess i am losing a lot less to the wheels now. And yess im having that exact problem on driveways. Good thing i havent gotten sways yet or i'd never get up them. So most likely just a fluid change and some more break in time should do it?

Basically the problem is two fold i cant get on the throttle too early coming out of a turn (slow to disengage i guess) and if i do want it to slide it, it doesnt feel like its engaging quickly enough? Eh maybe i should just start saving for a quaife lol.

Remember you also have traction control, which doesnt fully disengage, even with it turned off.

^good point. As of now im comparing it to my old g and other gs that i've driven. Honestly it almost feels like a non-sport.

Going to take it to the dealer soon for them to check the steering lock ill have them check out the lsd also
