Springs on a lease?

Hey guys, I've been trying to decide over getting Swift springs or the OEM front lip for my car, but since it's a lease, I'm skeptical about the springs. I know the springs would be more money, but if I can get away w/ no camber, I think I'd rather spend a little more money on lowering my car than the lip...esp since the X stock sits like it's an SUV. My question is w/ a lease, are there any potential issues w/ returning the car w/ the lowering springs still installed, or would I have to pay to have them uninstalled prior to returning my car? If that's the case, I'll just get the lip and call it a day. I keep going back and forth on this, and have already got some great feedback, I just want to make a final decision now.
Thanks,

Thanks,
when returning a lease you must return the car in stock condition. You signed something saying this. I am sure they would hit you hard if they found out. You could try and return it and maybe the dumb sales people wont notice cause they just want to make a sale, but they usually inspect the car prior to taking it.

so an OEM lip would be fine I'm assuming, since it's OEM, but anything other than OEM (excluding tint I would imagine) would at least potentially be an issue?

Dumb salespeople....wow, ignorance, the sales people do not inspect the vehicle, it is not their job. It is a third party company that comes out to do the inspection. If they take it in on trade then there is no lease return and it does not matter if it is modded.

How long are you leasing the car?
I returned my 07 X, last summer, with the lower springs on. They never noticed the mild drop of 7/8" because it made it look like a stock Journey/Sport.

The dealers here don't keep them. They usually go straight to the auction.

(I still have the OEM 07 X springs in my garage if anyone wants them, lol)

well as of now, I plan on simply returning the car, not trading it in or buying it. I used to sell Mercedes, and I know when I got a lease turn in, I would barely look at the car, but as kaot... mentioned, the cars are inspected by a third party company soon after the car is turned into the dealer. Given the fact that there even could be issues turning it in, I think I'll just get the lip. Since the lip is OEM, I can't imagine I'd have any issues.

It's a 36 month lease. The Swift springs aren't an aggressive drop from what I've read, but I just don't know if I want to deal w/ potential issues 3 years from now.

If you DIY the springs it's pretty simple to put the old ones back on, takes about an hour & a half if you have all the right tools (breaker bar, PB blast, air compressor w/ impact wrench/sockets. Since you've got 3 years to go I would get the springs, if they want to ding you for the springs just put the old ones back on and sell the lowering springs on the marketplace here.

returning it to stock would cost equally as much as getting them installed I'm assuming, so roughly another $350 w/ alignment...but then I could turn around and sell the used Swift's for maybe like $150'ish?

OEM lip will be fine. they wont say anything.

springs should be fine too....just as long as its not an agressive drop. for the most part they wont even notice

THAT'S crazy, I can't believe VOSSEN's G is a lease!

I don't think lowering the car will be a problem, when/if you bring it in for servicing they will love to see a non-stock G. My sales guy encouraged me to mod my way when I asked about it before signing the papers.
