It's very easy to do yourself, rent a spring compressor and spend about 1.5 hours doing it, save $500 and have the knowledge for next time

Not trying to thread jack but I'm in the same situation and am wondering if there's any disadvantages of messing things up as this will be my first time working on springs.

i intend to follow this guide: https://www.myg37.com/forums/d-i-y-i...g-install.html
i think the hardest part will be getting one of the bolts off (circled in blue), which is why i got myself air compressor and an impact wrench

the other dangerous part would be swapping out the springs on the front struts... taking it to an auto shop to get that done for about $40, hopefully.

rest should be easy

I live in Mason and found a place in West Chester that did mine for $150. The issue with renting a spring compressor is that the our spring don't fit correctly in most of them.

Do-it-yourself is fairly easy, get a buddy to help and should.t take you long, or at least do the rears by yourself which is less than 30 min for both sides

Way too high. I agree with the others, do it yourself and you can buy other upgrades with the money you save.
