6 piston caliper vs 4 piston caliper in the front

For daily driving use only, is there any real BIG benefit to going to 6 piston besides bling factor? Right now I'm debating going with a 4 piston caliper in the front and rear.

If you wanna do 6 put it in the front. Since that's where most of yhe braking takes place. IMO you'll be find with 4 in the front, but no need for 4 in the back. Maybe just 2?

What brand are you thinking about? I've heard good things about AP Racing but they're a pretty penny!

You'll feel a difference, but it's not absolutely necessary. If it was, Infiniti would have given you six in the front to begin with... The stock sport brakes are four piston fronts and two piston rears.

I have the AP racing 6/4 piston two piece rotor kit. The best brake upgrade I ever had. The stock brakes are in no comparison to those

not really needed for daily driving. Try upgrading lines, pads and even tires for better braking performance.

AP > Rotora is a big difference in price isn't it?

For daily driving and even for some track use the stock akebonos are good enough.

Bur the short answer is yes, 6 is much better than 4.

you can also upgrade the brake lines and fluid in your akebonos first if you want to

For daily driving? It won't make much of a difference unless your definition of daily driving means hitting the brakes constantly from high speeds.

I'd go with the suggestions from these guys in terms of doing the lines/pads/fluid first and see if that gives you better stopping power. You could also change out you tires. Your brakes are only as good as your tires ability to stick.

If you do go with 2 more pistons, do your homework and make sure you don't unecessarily shif the bias forward.

FWIW, the G's seem to apply more bias to the rear to begin with.
