G37s brakes

Anyone know what kind of brake pads are on the stock '08 g37s and how much it would cost to replace the front and rear brake pads? Also, does the cover(the part that has 'infiniti' written on them) for the sport coupe need to be replaced with the pads or can u just remove and reuse the cover?

If you're planning to DIY please don't. If you don't know what a brake caliper is, you have no business near a toolbox.

Take it to a competent mechanic ad he/she will know what you need.

Dont do it. Based on what your statement, you will be getting into way more than you are bargaining for.

So the calipers don't need to be changed when changing the brakes?

Highly unlikely unless the piston seals are leaking. You should go through several pad replacements before you need to change the calipers.

DON'T DO IT!!! You will either hurt yourself, or worse others on the road. While this is a rather easy job, done incorrectly can mess things up.

Pads are easy to swap out but the rotors are a bit more difficult. You likely won't need to change the pads without having to change the rotors as well. Mine got replaced around 25,000KM each time for the front ones. The rears at around 45,000KM.
