Definitely worth the upgrade. No downsides, ride quality is the same going over bumps and potholes.

I did not notice any scratches on the hood or the engine cover.

It was taking me too long to locate a used 's' sway bar so I decided to buy one from Infiniti of Scottsdale. I installed it last Friday.

Make sure you drop the exhaust from the mid-pipe brackets all the way back to rear-most the muffler hangers and the install is pretty quick and easy.

My car isn't dropped.
I finally managed to slide the stock ('x') sway bar out with just the 2 mid-pipe hanger nuts removed. I tried to get the thicker 's' bar in place, but it just would not fit. Finally, I just dropped the mufflers (like it says to do in the service manual) and the new sway bar went easily right into place.
This is why I said to just drop the mufflers. It will take you much less time and effort to do this than to try and figure out how to maneuver the sway bars in and out with the exhaust in place.

You swapped both front and rear sways?. Both from an S coupe?
How do you like it?

I have done a rsb on my audi a3 in my driveway. without removing or lowering anything. it was tricky to configure it. but I got it. I will try and post up.

do you think that with the car jacked up on 1 corner/or on a ramp/curb, with the added clearance, it would be easier for me?

many thx for your time.

I just did the rear. Currently there is no upgrade available for the front 'x' swaybar.

So far, I like it! Body roll is reduced on the twisties and there is no difference I can feel in ride quality on rough roads.

I had the rear of my car up on ramps. Clearance under the car is not the issue. Its trying to maneuver the sway bar around all the other parts under the car like the exhaust tubes and rear differential.

I've replaced F & R sway bars on several other cars I've owned and the position of the exhaust tubes on the G37 makes this one kind of tough (if not impossible) unless you drop them to get some additional clearance.

Do you mind if I ask how much it cost? Was it the bar from the Sport Pkg sedan?

when I installed my sways. All I did was unbolt the passenger side muffler piping, wiggle the sway bar out. That's all, and it took nearly a couple minutes.

I ordered the rear sway bar (Infiniti parts lists it as a rear "stabilizer bar") for a 2009 'S' coupe without active rear wheel steering. ($135)

You will also need a pair of new rear sway bar bushings. ($4.05 each)
You cannot use the ones from the 'x' sway bar on the thicker 's' bar.

I ordered a pair rear sway bar brackets too, but I think the brackets from the 'x' sway bar are the same and would have fit too. ($5.84 each)

if the bushing is bigger the bracket is bigger.
