Well, I used the new brackets I bought because it just didn't make sense to pay return shipping and a restocking fee on something that cost less than $12. But when I compared the new brackets to the ones used on the 'x' rear sway bar, they looked indentical in all respects.

If you can locate a rear Hotchkis sway bar then that would be the one to go with. It has 3 position adjustments:
Hotchkis Rear Sway Bar 28.5mm (Ø1.125") Hollow 3 Way Adjustable
+130, 185, 260% Stiffer than Stock G37,
+15, 40, 75% Stiffer than stock G37S
+60, 100, 155% Stiffer than stock G35S
The problem is Hotchkis currently only sells them in pairs (front and rear) and the front bar does not fit the "x" model.

This may be an idiotic question but whats the diffrence between the +130 +15 +60 on the road? and what do you think would be optimal? My only issue is that i have body roll on turns where i know the car should be planted..

middle section is usually best for street driven. 3rd hole is more for track, from what I've been told. I keep mine in the middle hole. (non sexual)

When did Hotchkis release this swaybar set for the AWD 'x' model?
Hotchkis Sway Bars Infiniti G35X
If I would have known about this, I wouldn't have wasted my money on the OE sport rear sway bar last month. This Hotchkis sway bar set for the AWD models is the way to go.

I was about to order the S coupe rear sway bar for my car, had the money in hand, when my mechanic talked me out of it. He told me that swapping out the rear sway bar would make no difference. He told me that while he was modifying his own car, he took the sway bar off and drove around for a while and saw no difference. Could that be right???
Also those Hotchkis bars are nice, but pricey. Would the Hotchkis rear sway bar be better than the one from an S coupe? I noticed that the front Hotchkis bar looks as thin as the factory front bar on the X, is it actually better? Just trying to justify spending $400 for Hotchkis as opposed to just spending $150 for the S Coupe OEM rear bar.

Swapping the rear sway bar WILL make a difference. Your mechanic is wrong. Many of us awd'ers have done it and can vouch for that.
The hotchkis sway bar set for the awd is a big disappointment imo and not worth 400+. The front sway bar is only 3 mm bigger than the stock front sway bar on the x and the rear sway is only 4 mm bigger than than the rwd oem rear sway bar....I think you would just be better off just getting the oem rwd sway bar. You won't really feel a difference with the hotckis set unless they're adjustable...

^^just checked, the front isn't adjustable...only the rear is. Might as well just order the rear sway bar then and save $200. I don't think the 3mm extra in the front will make a difference especially since it's not adjustable

I didn't realize the Hotchkis sway bars for the AWD are not (front) adjustable and are only a slight increase in diameter over the stock ones. Based on what you have said, I agree that they don't appear to be worth $400+, and I now think I made a good decision when I upgraded to the OE S coupe rear bar instead of the Hotchkis AWD sway bar set.
