I was really thinking of doing what you did but was advised against it. Do you enjoy driving the car more now?

Does the 2010 AWD type S model have the same small rear sway bar as the base AWD? I'd like to do this mod, but am still not 100% sure what I need because I have the xS model.

I have the 2010 XS as well. The S stands for SUPER DUPER lol We have the X with sport seats, nice rims and pretty lip lol
So pretty much our cars are closer to the X (AWD) then the S

Yes, there is a noticeable decrease in body roll in tight turns. Its not a huge difference, but IMO its definitely worth the cost of the upgrade to the 's' sway bar.

Yes, the 2010 x and xS sedan have the same (smaller) rear sway bar. The "upgrade" is to the 'S' coupe rear sway bar.

Thanks DocJohn. I'm probably gonna do it. I just gotta find a decent shop to do it in, cause if I install it myself, the wheels might fall off or something.

as you can see in Philttz's pics at the top, the OEM bar on the sedan xS is puny. I got the bar from a real S and had it in my trunk for a month or longer. Got it from another member here (I still owe you a photo shoot).

Not until I got the stock one off, did I realize how much of a difference maker this would be. The pics don't do it justice. The OEM bar is a POS. It's a DISGRACE to a car of this level.

The car feels so much better now. Turn in. Highway lane changes at speed. Etc. etc.

Anyone on the fence, get off.

I would look for a take off first. If no dice, check out the price of a new S bar compared with aftermarket.

I called infiniti parts center, but he needed the vin # to order the sway bar, otherwise he said that he can't do it. I have a 4 door X so obviously I can't give him my vin. What are my options? Is there another place I can order the bar without the hassle? It has to be a factory Infiniti sway, I don't want aftermarket, and i don't want a used one. Any thoughts?

I had the same problem... Scottsdale Infiniti e-mailed me and requested my VIN number after I ordered the sway bar online. So I went on cars.com and found a VIN for a '09 S coupe without rear active steering listed there for sale and gave them that VIN. It worked and I got the correct rear sway bar.

Use this VIN for an '09 s coupe: JNKCV64E99M606490 and don't forget to order 2 new bushings also.

Guys, I'm looking at the two links and am I missing something?
How come the price for the 2009 bar is $135 and for 2010 it's $72?
Doc John, the link you sent is for a S bar? Cause it doesn't say S anywhere. Also, the 09 bar fits fine on your 10X correct?
