About a 1.5 out of 10 in difficulty.

Don't have the "S" but it took me 49 min to change the pads , front and back on my 08'. Easiest brake job I've ever done.

It's about that time for me to change my front and rears on by G37S... and I was thinking about using the Akebono ProAct Ceramic Disc pads.

Anyone have any experience with those brake pads or can recommend anything else?

thansk for the responses..like i said, ive never attacked a brake job. i guess that would save an hour labor at the shop. what about rotors? how big of a PITA would that be? i have an 08S with the big brembos, and they are starting to vibrate at 31K miles. seems like that is a bit premature. maybe i just need to flip them? changing "brakes" just means changing the pads and rotors, not the brembo calipers, right?

changing brakes usually means just switching the pads, sometimes rotors. you shouldnt ever have to replace the actual caliper.

Take the rotors off, take them to a garage and ask them to resurface them. If the rotors aren't bad, they can be resurfaced cheaply.

FYI, the calipers are Akebono not Brembo.

so when changing the pads out, do we need to go online to get the factory pads or woudl that be what they would sell us at the local shop?
