Adjustable Coilovers While Mounted?

I'm trying to pick out some coilovers and want the adjustable type, even though I'm not going to be tracking the car. I'd like to be able to make multiple adjustments and fine tune the suspension but I read that FW coilovers are only adjustable while off the car. Is that true? I want to be able to make adjustments while they are still mounted. Is that possible with coilovers? Would Tein, JIC or FW be adjustable like that?

You mean KW .........

<Adjustable coilovers without taking out rear struts>
Tein
JIC (only when you purchase extenders)
BC
Megan Racing

On KW's the rebound dampener is on the top. in order to adjust it the shock gotta be off the car.
Thanks for the response about adjustable coilovers. Above is the quote I was referring to, saying that KW's aren't adjustable unless off the car.

You're sayin that KW's ARE adjustable while mounted. That's good to hear, as I was leaning towards either KW or JIC coilovers. Thanks for the valuable info. I guess I can consider Tein, BC and Megan Racing coils as well.

My decision might come down to ease of use. Which coilovers are easiest to adjust? It sounds like the JICs could be the most difficult.

Ummm, I'm not sure if you understand right..

I didn't say KW can be adjusted while mounted..
because you said FW coilvers..
I was correcting it.

KW can be adjusted only after taking out rear struts.
So, it's not adjustable while mounted.

aren't you getting an X? if so, none of the above coilovers may not fit your car! unless you changed your mind to get an S instead. and thanks for your interest in my coilover which you never bother to respond after you pm'ed me haha.

Dude, your last PM said that you were going to look into whether your coils would fit a G37x, so I've been waiting on you. I'll sent you that PM you sent me. But it's all good, I saw you sold your coils, thats the main thing. Congrats.

Yes, I did cancel my order for the AWD (and am now getting the sport) because I wanted your coilovers, but something you still said about adjustability of the FWs scare me off. I just got confirmation about that from another responder. Maybe we'll be able to work on another project together now that I have a Sport instead on an X, good luck with you.

Good call on getting a sport.
You don't really need a X in Ca unless you want to be unique..lol

Agreed, an X is a waste in Cali and more chit can go wrong once you start increasing horsepower with FI. If I were to get an AWD it'd be an EVO X
